Repeat Pre­scrip­tions

If you are on reg­u­lar med­ica­tion the doc­tor may agree for you to obtain a repeat pre­scrip­tion with­out need­ing to see the doc­tor in surgery. In this case please can you request your pre­scrip­tion in one of the fol­low­ing ways:

  • By Post: Send your ticked coun­ter­foil to either surgery address
  • Pre­scrip­tion Box: Drop your ticked coun­ter­foil into the box at either surgery
  • FAX: Send your writ­ten request to either surgery. Wed­more fax num­ber is 01934 713799. Axbridge fax num­ber is 01934 733488.
  • Elec­tron­i­cally: Online ser­vices via Patient Access — more details below.

Pre­scrip­tions can be col­lected from:

  • Axbridge Surgery
  • Wed­more Surgery
  • Local Phar­ma­cies — Axbridge, Wed­more and Cheddar.

Please note that we require 48 hours’ notice to process repeat prescriptions.

You can request your pre­scrip­tions online through Patient Access:

If you have not used the ser­vice before and have received a let­ter from us with your PIN num­ber then you can reg­is­ter for an account.

Reg­is­ter a new account with your PIN let­ter click here.

In order to use this ser­vice you will need to sign up in advance by com­plet­ing a reg­is­tra­tion form. The form is avail­able from either recep­tion at either surgery.

(please note that online repeat pre­scrip­tion request accounts will only be cre­ated for patient aged 16 and over*.)

*Excep­tions can be made for  issu­ing account infor­ma­tion to under 16 year olds, for exam­ple in the cases of child­hood chronic illness.

To request an account on behalf of a patient aged under 16 years old please write to the patients GP. If endorsed by the GP account reg­is­tra­tion infor­ma­tion will be sent to the patient.
